Hi my name Is Latosha Adams and this is my Testimony. Jesus saved me when I was 8 years old. My whole family got saved around the same time, my mom, dad, and brother.
We all got baptized together a few months later. This was the happiest time in my young life.
Two years later, my father quit going to church with us and ran from God. My family had no idea why.
I was ten years old when all of this happened. Our house was never the same after that. There were a lot of arguments and many hurtful words over the years.
Finally, when I was in high school, we found out that my father was addicted to drugs. This began a back and forth battle of separation and threats of divorce in my parent’s marriage.
By the time I was 25, my parents decided to separate for good and my mom moved in with me.
Little did we know that at rock bottom, God was laying the foundation for a miracle. Only months later, my mom and dad were back together, my dad was delivered from addiction, and was saved. He’s still serving the Lord now.
You’d never understand the change in his character unless you knew him before God transformed him. He is an amazing example of God’s power to change lives.
I met my husband when I was 8 years old at church. I had always liked him, and he was my best friend growing up.
I had always hoped we’d end up together, but I never believed we would. I thought it was too far fetched for something I dreamed of to happen in real life.
God showed me that He gives us our heart’s desires and He allowed me to married him. From the moment that we decided to be married God showered us with blessings. Everything seemed to fall into place.
Even though our marriage hasn’t been perfect, God has grown us both so much, and I’m thankful He has been with us through it all.
In 2016, my oldest son, Bayne, who was 3 at the time, endured a traumatic brain injury when an old tube style TV feel on top of him. He had 5 skull fractures, paralyzed vocal chords, and a partially clasped lung.
He was in ICU for 2 weeks during which he had a tracheostomy. We stayed in the progressive unit for about a week and were eventually moved to Cardinal Hill for recovery for about week.
Bayne’s main ICU doctor explained Bayne’s injury like this, “He has a major brain injury, but he’s treating it like a minor one.” Praise Jesus! All of Bayne’s swelling stayed off the brain, and the polarization of his vocal chords was only temporary.
He only had his trach for 2 months! I had always heard how brain injuries could completely change a person.
I prayed and prayed for God to give him back to me the way He gave him to me in the first place. I didn’t want one thing about his personality to change.
Jesus heard my prayer and gave my baby to me as much himself as he ever was.He saved his life.
In March, Bayne, who is 7 now, asked Jesus to be his savior. God is so good! In 2017, while on vacation, my youngest son accidentally got into his Pa’s medicine.
We weren’t sure exactly which ones he got, but we knew there were some very dangerous medicines for a little guy.
Since we couldn’t be 100% sure that he didn’t get into anything dangerous, they had to coat his stomach with charcoal and we had to stay a night in the ICU to be monitored closely. He had no complications whatsoever!
The one pill we new he chewed on was completely harmless to him. Praise Jesus! In 2015, my mom had a dream where Jesus told her she’d have a granddaughter and she would be called Faith.
I was pregnant at the time when she had the dream so we were sure I was having a girl. At the gender ultrasound, we were all surprised to find out that I was having another boy.
Well, we thought we’d missed the mark. Fast forward to 2018, my dad had emergency surgery one night. I stayed with my mom so she wouldn’t be alone.
While in the waiting room, we met a young father who was getting ready to be called back for the birth of his daughter.
We chatted for a while and he was called away. After dad was in recovery, we were asked to wait in the waiting room upstairs just above the maternity ward.
In the reflection of the windows, I could see into the nursery. I watched as that man’s new baby girl was wheeled in and attended to.
I remember telling the Lord how badly I wanted a baby girl. I kept all of these feelings to myself. No one but God knew how badly I wanted a girl.
That night, I know the Lord heard my heart. Fast forward to April 2019, my Aunt Patty texted me to tell me that the Spirit told her I was pregnant.
I told her it was news to me! A few days later, I attended a special service were many people were recieving words from the Lord.
My husband and I were called up to be prayed for when the speaker asked, “What do you want?” I said that I wanted a baby girl.
We were then told, “You will have what you asked for as long as you name her what God wants her to be named. You are to name her Faith.”
My husband and I cried like babies. On January 23, we had our beautiful daughter, Faith Ann. Almost five years after my mom’s dream, I’m holding our promise in my arms as I type this.
God always keeps His promises!I could never write all the wonderful things He’s done for me. There’s just too many! He’s always been by my side.
Even though I was stubborn at times, He’s never let me go, and I now He never will. He has blessed me and my family in more ways than I could have ever imagined.
I could never deserve Him. Thankfully, I don’t have to earn Him. He wants me just as I am, and He wants you too.
