I see fire in the temple, at least I hope I do because it’s the only way I know you are burning for me.
God want’s the fire inside of us to burn with a Holy fire, a fire upon the alter of our heart that can’t be quenched.
Leviticus 6:12 12 And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.
We not only to watch and be spectators of burning alters in other’s temples but we need to stoke those embers and add to it daily to keep that fore burning bright!
Nothing and nobody can keep the fire burning bright and hot but you, you and God but God is not going to stoke it by him self.
He want’s people who want his fire, people who feed his fire, people who hunger for his fire to burn brighter constantly.
So, how do we feed this fire in our temple? It’s simple, with the washing of the word daily and spending time in his presence.
You ever wonder what you are missing in this life even after giving your life to Christ?
It’s because the beginning of salvation is just that, the beginning. To have a bigger and brighter fire you have to feed it daily.
If you are feeding it enough it starts other fires. A big enough fire will spread regardless and we have to be feeding it to spread.
There are so many Christians out there who just want a small amount of God in their life.
They want to hold onto things of this world that slowly let the fire die.
You see a hunger needs to be satisfied and we can satisfy it with the world and carnal things or we can satisfy it with spiritual and Godly things.
The carnal satisfaction is temporary but the flames of the spiritual things of God are eternal and produce Joy that can’t be taken away.
2 Corinthians 4:18 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
I urge you to go after God with everything you have and all you are!
Don’t let the fire burning upon the alter of your heart even begin to lose strength.
What does your fire in the temple look like?
