First and foremast I can do nothing without my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I always want to acknowledge him above everything and anyone.
I completely understand some of what I am about to convey will be criticized and we all have our opinions.
You may be able to take sections of this article and break it down to prove your biased points but it will never take away from the complete truth of this article.
Now, diving into the struggle of what is going on in the world and the Body of Christ (The Church) as being effected by this vicious plague The Corona COVID-19 virus.
So many homes, businesses, ministries, families and more have been effected in so many different ways it is unreal.
Now I understand as should you how the virus spreads undetected in any given single individual for sometimes around 2 weeks without any signs of symptoms.
This is why it is spreading and this we should be aware of, but I don’t want to focus on the disease specifically but the legal restrictions given and how we need to and can react, especially as the Body of Christ.
The Church Restricted
Before I start giving direction as I have been led I will say I am not a political person and am neither a Republican or democrat but a follower of Christ and strive to do what He directs nothing more and nothing less.
My main liable question I would like to ask the Church of today is this. Can anyone stop the gospel?
I think we all know the answer to that by examples of the Bible form the Old and New Testament and millions upon millions of testimonies streaming from then until now.
I see countless ministers proclaiming the gospel probably 10x more since this epidemic has broke out on social media and many online platforms.
So my question is, where were they before?
It’s a shame that it takes a restriction of a gathering to bring out the Christ in someone. Forgive me if I ask is that what it’s truly bringing out?
If you are a pastor worried about “your gospel” being heard because you can’t gather in a Church, who’s gospel are you preaching because it sure didn’t stop Paul as he was beaten, shackled and thrown in prison.
Knowing You Heard God
There was a man of God a while back named Smith Wigglesworth who definitely heard from God and miraculous healings took place because of his obedience.
The only man I know of who punched an elderly woman in the stomach and seen her healed of cancer on the spot.
Not going to get into all the ways God used him but my point is you better be sure you are hearing from God before you put people in harms way.
I have never seen a True God given Revival where people got sick as a result and died, but you better be sure God is in your gathering when you bring people together right now or you may be jumping of a cliff God never told you to step off of.
Do I believe God will protect his people? Absolutely, but I don’t believe he blesses senseless recklessness.
A Time To Shine
Wake up Church! This is not a time for publicity or controversy. This is a time for the Church to rise like never before!
Use this opportunity to reach the lost, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons and be the Church we are called to be!
We definitely have way more freedom than Paul had in the New Testament, the question is are we making even close to such an impact as a man bound and shackled.
God Bless and Love,
Pastor Brandon Robbins
